New joint cinematic venture of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic ‘High Voltage’ has kicked off in Azeri capital city.
The new joint production of two countries started shooting stage in Baku in concurrent with a visit by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi to Iran neighboring country.
Iran cultural attaché in Baku alongside Farabi Cinema Foundation director Alireza Tabesh also met the cast and crew of the flick on Tuesday.
Azeri director Ilham Qasimov is at the helm of the flick which stars Iran famed actor Reza Naji and several notable Azeri actors.
It was director Majid Majidi’s 'Children of Heaven' (1996) which brought Naji nationwide fame and following this success, he appeared in several movies including 'The Birth of a Butterfly' (1997) and 'Baran' (2000).
In 2007, he starred in another one of Majidi’s films 'The Song of Sparrows' (2007) and delivered an astonishing and outstanding performance which gained him worldwide fame as well as several nominations and awards.
